OUR BELIEFS

We believe in:

The Holy Bible

A revelation from God to humankind; the infallible rule of faith and conduct; superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason. (2 Timothy 3:15-16; 1 Peter 2:2)

One God

He reveals himself as The Father, The Son Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isaiah 43:10,11; Matthew 28:19)

Jesus Christ

Jesus is our only way to salvation. Jesus is God and He came to earth in the form of man, died on the cross, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven. (John 14:6; John 10:30; Philippians 2:7-8; Acts 10:41; Ephesians 4:7-9)

Salvation is Free

You cannot earn your eternal life with God (salvation). It is a free gift that is given to those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that he died, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven. (Isaiah 64:6; Ephesians 2:8,9)

The Holy Spirit

When Jesus ascended to heaven, he sent down the Holy Spirit who shares with us the things of God. He comes into our lives when we make Jesus our Lord. He is there to teach us, lead us and comfort us. (John 14:26; Acts 9:31)

Water Baptism

Jesus commanded us to be submerged in water as an outward sign to everyone that we have become a His follower. If we deny Jesus before man, then Jesus will deny knowing us before His Father. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4; Acts 20:21; Hebrews 10:22)

Communion (Drinking of wine, eating of bread)

Jesus told us to do this as often as we can to remind us of why He suffered and died on the cross. (2 Peter 1:4; 1 Corinthians 11:26)

Speaking in Tongues

This is a heavenly language given to believers. We don’t know what we are saying. But God is speaking through us to Himself. (Acts 2:4; 1 Corinthians 12:4-10,28)

Holy Spirit – Gifts

The Holy Spirit manifests himself through us in the form of wisdom, knowledge, faith (ability to believe for what you cannot see) healing, miracles, prophecy, speaking in unknown language, interpret the unknown language (1 Cor 12:4-11)

Holy Spirit – Fruits

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (Gal 5:22-23)
